Trophy whitetail hunts from Hideaway Lodge is deer hunting the way it was meant to be- lots of deer and high success rates! If you are the patient, persistent type who likes hunting from a stand, you’re in luck. Our thick cover means hunts are generally done on tree stands or ground blinds. Our whitetail are big-bodied and dress out anywhere from 200-300 lbs, so hunker down, sit tight, and keep your eye out for a trophy!
We do everything we can to give you the best chance at bagging a trophy whitetail. That’s why our whitetail hunting package includes all meals served homestyle, transportation to and from hunting sites, warm cabins, and qualified guides.
Another way we ensure that you have a great chance at a trophy whitetail on your trip is by limiting the number of hunters we host each season. Northwestern Ontario hunting season usually brings a huge amount of hunters to the province, but we have found that by limiting the number of hunters to eight per season, hunters see a much higher success rate. So book early and we’ll see you at the Lodge!
Grouse season runs September 15- October 15 and brings hunters to Hideaway Lodge year after year. These good eaters are plentiful in our forested area, and we have just the set-up for you and your hunting buddies to enjoy hassle-free hunts. Hunts are typically done on foot, with the miles of trails close to camp offering easy access to tried and true grouse hot spots and excellent natural cover. You’ll never be far from Main Camp on our hunting trails, so at the end of the day be sure to come by for a hot meal and to share your stories!
Hideaway Lodge also makes a great base from which to hunt small game. The small game opportunities around the Lodge are endless. Small game includes fox, game birds, rabbit, raccoon, wolf, coyote and squirrel. Seasons vary, so check in with us with questions about hunting regulations.
